comments: I recently installed Adobe Reader 9 and am very impressed with its accessibility. The program itself is as accessible as ever. Beyond Adobe has been removed, so setup is easier.
I give this program a 3 rating due to accessibility issues when attempting to uninstall the program. Adobe Reader 9 also installs two additional components, acrobat.com and Adobe Air. During software installation, I could not find an option not to install those components. I tried to uninstall those two components to test uninstall accessibility. Unfortunately, trying to uninstall either Adobe Air and adobe.com in the control panel's add/remove program gave me completely inaccessible uninstall screens. Thus, I could not uninstall either component.
I also tried to uninstall Adobe Reader itself. Again, to test uninstall accessibility. Ironically, Adobe Reader 9 uninstall process is completely accessible. Perhaps Adobe will consider making their Adobe Air and acrobat.com uninstall programs accessible. Admitedly, I uninstalled Adobe Reader 9 before testing uninstall accessibility of the two components. I reinstalled Adobe Reader 9. Trying to remove the unwanted components without uninstalling Adobe Reader 9 first produced the same inaccessible Adobe Air and acrobat.com uninstall screens.
