comments: Acefire is a free game available from http://www.x-sight-interactive.net . You'll need your screen reader for this one, as the messages in the game are displayed as text. The game is sort of a shoot-'em-up thing with some extra features thrown in. For instance it says it will wish the player a happy birthday and a Merry Christmas. I have yet to verify this though, as my birthday falls at the beginning of the calendar year and Christmas for this year is not yet upon us. The sounds and music are great and their volumes may be adjusted. I like all of them, but I especially enjoy the computer and power weapons being powered up at the start of game play and shut down at the end. This version of Acefire was actually remade from an earlier, watered-down version. The user has a choice of playing against the computer or an online opponent.
