comments: Windows live mail is an email client similar to outlook express. The difference is that windows live mail works with a hotmail account. This program is not very accessible with jaws. A lot of jaws cursor navigation is required, but that still doesn't help much. Jaws always loses focus. To sum it all up, do not download this program. You'll be dissatisfied.

comments: Windows Live Mail is OK. I have no trouble with navigation and I do not lose focus often. However, it does have quirks that one must get used to. For example, the pages load twice with a lapse of a varying time depending upon one's connection speed. This is because the web mail is advertisement driven and the first load includes (according to sighted users) a large ad. When the page loads the second time, it may cause you to lose focus if you aren't aware of this "double load".
The mail functions still work well, and for management of your writen message you might want to hit the "plain text" button. The functions that alter the rich text format do not seem to work well with my screen reader. I have stayed with and learned this Live Mail because I have almost 8 years invested in a Hotmail account, that's where everybody knows how to find me.
On the positive side, the junk and spam filtering works well, message delivery and receipt is fast and efficient, there is a monstrous inbox capacity and the folders function is really transparent. A next step would be to create the Office Live suite tutorial for accessibility. Office Live currently allows free web sites and various other free software functions that are (or can be used) with one's Windows Live Mail account.
If one is patient, Windows Live Mail can be learned and used quite effectively by Jaws users.
