comments: AXCrypt, made by Axon data, is, in my opinion, a great program for encrypting files on your computer. The installer is very accessible, and once it is installed, all you have to do is scrole to the file in Windows Explorer that you want to encryp, press the applications key on your keyboard, scrole down to the AxCrypt sub menu, select the encrypt option, then fill in the edit fields in the dialogue box that comes up. Once you have pressed the encrypt button in the dialogue box, it converts the file type to an Axcrypt filetype, with an .axx extension. Just click on the new file, type in your chosen password, and your file opens. Simple as that! I have given it a 4 because so far, I haven't found a way to encrypt a file in a way that will allow a PC or other device to decrypt it without having to have AxCrypt installed. The website says you can do this, but I don't know how, yet! All in all though, a very useful, and free, program! If you would like me to send you the installer for this program, or you just want more information, please contact me.
