comments: APH Talking Clock is a free program which may be downloaded from http://www.aph.org/tech . As the name suggests, this is a talking clock. It goes off at the top of every hour as well as at quarter past, half past, and quarter to the hour. A chime is played, and then the exact time is announced in a clear male voice. The voice seems to be that of Lou Harpenau, one of the talking book narrators for the American Printing House for the Blind. The program installs in the usual way, with an optional icon being placed on the desktop and a program group in the Start menu. The clock cannot be adjusted manually, but I imagine this feature will be added in future upgrades. I really like this free little program.
