Amadeus II is an audio editor for the Mac. It has many different audio effects and the ability to import any Audio Unit or VST effect that you install, thus giving it quite a lot of expandability.
Keyboard:
In general, the keyboard support is quite good. There are many shortcuts, even for some of the effects, and a rewind and fast forward feature while the song is playing by pressing left and right arrow. You can also change the speed at which the song plays by using up and down arrow during playback. There are some little quirks though. The menu system doesn't act normally with respect to typing the first letters of an item--on the Mac, one can usually type multiple letters of a menu item until one gets to the item they want--but Amadeus doesn't allow this for some reason. Pressing the first letter will only take you to the first item that starts with that letter and that's it, which can make menu navigation a bit of a hassle at times. On the top menu bar, however, it works as expected, it is only once a menu is opened that this behavior occurs. Also, one must use simulated mouse clicks on buttons (ctrl+option+shift+spacebar) rather than just pressing them. I haven't found a reliable way to get the sliders in the effects dialogs working completely, though this isn't usually a problem as you can use the edit boxes to enter the value you want.
Conclusion:
Despite the quirks, I'd say this program is one of the more accessible audio editors I've found on the Mac.
