comments: When I found out that there was an instant messaging program that would allow me to communicate with more that one IM client, I was interested. When I found out that the program was free, I was really interested. After listening to a review of the program on Main Menu, I was ready to give it a try. I downloaded the necessary files from
http://www.jjhof.com
and went to work. Thanks to the Jaws scripts and accompanying documentation, I was able to get the program up and running. Having said that, it wasn't the easiest setup I've done recently. Do not make the mistake I did and try to download the latest version of Miranda from the home page because the scripts don't work. I had to download sounds for the various events in the program because none were supplied. This was not explained well in the documentation. Even though there are sound files available on Miranda's site, I had to use Google to find them. I still don't know where they are on the site. By default, Miranda does not load when Windows starts and you must manually sign on to each network you have set up in the program each time you boot your computer. Once everything is up and running, it seems to work fairly well. If you are willing to spend some time and read instructions very carefully, it's worth the effert to get this program up and running.
